Lanco Hill, Hyderabad

Hi, guys. I came here a month ago to take pictures of the nature beauty, Lanco Hill. It is not as famous as other tourist destinations, but yes when it comes to REIT/real estate, it's one of the most expensive places. Here, you can see a rock formation, which is one of the great attractions. You will find a lot of peacocks over here as well. Since it was cloudy and it was drizzling, I missed the sunrise. As you are on top of the hill you can see the famous Golkonda Fort, Qutub Shahi Tombs, etc from here. The view from here is incredible of the city. 

If you are planning to visit Hyderabad, make sure that you cover this place as much as you can, especially you're a photographer, you'd fall in love with this place. Hyderabad is developing at a rapid pace. And since they are already breaking the hill. I don't think 10 years down the road, we'll be able to see this amazing place again. For my Muslim friends, there's a mosque here that perhaps you'd like to visit. And peace seekers, this is a great place for you as well.

Golkonda Fort, Hyderabad

Here is one of the famous and the biggest historical forts in Hyderabad, Golkonda Fort. It is also close to the famous Qutub Shahi Tombs consisting of Seven Tombs. It is a good place to visit with family and friends. This is one of the most beautiful tourist attractions in Hyderabad because of its rich history. Although it is old, it is well-maintained. On top of the fort, you can see the whole city of Hyderabad. With the help of guides you will definitely enjoy even more as they will walk you through the fort and explain you in more details about the history and the architectural structure and the intelligence behind it during that era. In the evening, around 7pm there is light and sound program which is quite interesting. If you visit hyderabad this is a must visit destination. 

Note for Photographer's- Do not carry your tripods if they are big in size and the best timing for photography is morning.

Lumbini Park, Hyderabad

Hi, friends. I've visited this place a couple of times now. Lumbini Park is one of the well-known parks in Hyderabad. It is located in the middle of the city adjoining to Hussain Sagar Lake and it is opposite to the famous NTR Garden.

Boat ride and the laser show are the most special attractions here. There are varieties of boats to go around the statue. But not all the boats stop near the statue in the middle of the lake. I used the ferry option as I wanted to go near the statue to take pictures. It halted there for some-ten minutes. Speed boat option is also available there.

It's a nice view from the statue and it's quite awesome. Remember, on weekend it is quite crowded. Evening is the perfect time to visit this place. Also below, the National Flag of India is the tallest flag in India, Hyderabad, which can be seen from quite a far distance.

Well, what makes this place even more interesting? This lake is a heart-shaped and was built by Ibrahim Quli Qutub Shah in year 1563, during his rule. By the way the statue of Gautama Buddha was erected in 1992, so that's not that old depending on in which year reading this post :D The depth of this lake is approximately 30 feet. Well, it is very deep for someone who can't swim like me :P

Yes. You will find some ducks there and an awful lot of bats, huge ones. You can see the Birla Temple from here, which is approximately 15-20 minutes away from here. You can take Uber, Ola, etcetera to get there.

Note for photographers: You can carry your DSLRs in the park, but not tripods. They've arranged a place for your stuff just in case if you carry your tripod, so you can keep your tripods and other stuff there, but I won't suggest you to do that. Around the park, carrying tripods is not a problem.

Birla Temple/Mandir, Hyderabad

Hi friends. I had gone to visit this place, Birla Temple and took a few pictures of this place. This place is also known as Birla Mandir, and it is 15 to 20 mins away from the famous NTR and Lumbini Park, which are other famous tourist destinations here in Hyderabad. I have also posted some pictures taken in those places as well. So, please check them as well.

So guys, this temple, Birla Temple was dedicated to Venkateswara Temple of Tirumala Tirupati Temple. While we can see that it is made up of snow-white marble, which in order to build a temple of the size it is, it was obviously going to need a mammoth amount of marbles. This marble was transported all the way from the State of Rajasthan, which is in the other part of the country.

This temple can be seen from quite a distance as it is on top of a hill. And as you can imagine, it attracts peoples' attention quite easily. One evening I was taking pictures at Lumbini Park, and I spotted it. And that's when I decided to check it out. It tends to look even more attractive when it becomes dark, and when lights are turned on. The temple illuminates even further. Being a tourist you just can't miss that sight. Birla Temple was named after a well-known industrialist, Birla.

A note for photographers, you can't carry your cameras inside the temple, so that's sad. But outside the temple, of course, yes. You can use your camera and tripods outside the premise. Most of the places in Hyderabad do not allow photography, while some may charge you to carry your cameras/DSLRs. Why? Because the sky is too high in the month of July and your best friend is a butterfly. :D Well, most of the places will charge you some cash to carry your cameras.
